I designed the layout and functionality development for the next phase of the Lapalala Wilderness School: The Curator House: Biodiversity Centre.
The client's core mandate was to create an educational and highly interactive space that strictly adhered to their net-zero standard. My design solution was centred on the concept of breaking the barrier between humans and nature. This was most clearly realised through the multifunctional central exhibition, which used a flexible track system for easy re-configuration. Furthermore, all material selections maintained the school's existing architectural aesthetic and commitment to sustainability.
